Engineering professors Sarah Billington and Sheri Sheppard took their traditional lecture course and have made sustainable, small changes over several years. One of the changes they will talk about is re-imagining the role of course assistants; they created "PODs" of CAs who act as active facilitators during the class meeting. The current course offering is a transformed course that earns greater student engagement and higher learning gains.
