Referral Suggestion

Campus policies

Re-Approaching Stanford. The best resource for the latest policies related to remote learning and campus re-opening.

Anxiety, stress, mental health

Vaden Well-Being Coaching. Trained, though not licensed counselors, able to consult all students on a range of topics.

Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS). For mental healthcare and urgent help. 

Stanford Red Folder. Guidance for faculty and staff supporting students in distress.

Financial

Financial Aid Office. Supports students through the financial aid process. They can also help students adapt financial aid to individual circumstances; for example, if students newly have to pay rent to unemployed parents.

First-Generation Low Income (FLI). They can help support money management, understand how student loans work, and possibly provide funds or help them navigate financial aid. 

Technology

Lathrop Learning Hub. Offering options for home Internet and equipment loans to students.

Canvas Student Center. Navigating Canvas for students.

Academic

Academic Advising. Advisors help with planning classes and keeping students on track academically. They also have a good grasp of University resources and often end up helping with a wide range of topics.

Coaching and Tutoring. The Center for Teaching and Learning offers a range of services to help students succeed academically, including academic skills coaching, subject matter tutoring, foreign language conversation partners, and more.

Hume Center for Writing and Speaking. Free individual tutoring in writing and speaking for all students for any class or project. Schedule or drop-in appointments available.

Remote Learning. Student-facing Center for Teaching and Learning site with articles on focus, study skills, and more.

Accommodations for disabilities

Office of Accessible Education. For students in need of support or accommodations for a disability.

Immigration

Undocumented at Stanford. Legal consultations and resources for undocumented students. 

Bechtel International Center. Student support for visas, employment, maintaining status, and more.
