Online Learning Consortium

The Stanford Engineering Center for Global & Online Education (CGOE) provides an institutional membership for Stanford University to the Online Learning Consortium (OLC). The OLC is a collaborative community of higher education leaders and innovators, dedicated to advancing quality digital teaching and learning experiences designed to reach and engage the modern learner—anyone, anywhere, anytime.

Take advantage of these member benefits by creating your account with your Stanford email address:

  • Watch Free OLC Webinars: Join online experts in learning more about current topics in online, digital, and blended learning, as well as best practices and special interests.
  • Access the OLC Research Center: Early access to research and many publications.
  • Use the Interactive OLC Quality Scorecard Suite: Members can use the OLC Interactive Scorecards to benchmark strengths and weaknesses of their online programs or courses and identify areas for improvement. Companion handbooks are available for best practices and facilitation of program evaluation.
  • Receive OLC Today: Sign up for weekly updates on new industry trends, research, professional development opportunities, and more.
  • Download the TOOLS Resource Collection: Access popular resources, including “Communities of Practice in Higher Education.”

Set up your Stanford OLC membership

Create a free user account at: my.onlinelearningconsortium.org

  • Use your email address "@stanford.edu" address to access benefits.
  • During the account creation process,  select Allow when asked to allow access.
  • The OLC system will ask you to allow that OLC system to share your information with other OLC systems. It is for OLC purposes only.

After you create your account, you will be automatically logged in and sent an email with a link to access your account.

Once logged in, the system will recognize you as a member, and you can use your OLC Institutional member benefits. 

Using an existing OLC account

If your current OLC user account uses your organization email address, you simply log in with that account and you are all set.

If your current OLC user account does not use your organization email account, log in to your current account:

  1. On My Info, scroll to Email, and click Change.
  2. Add your organization email address and change your preferred email type to choose your organization email.
