Educational Conference Overview

Regardless of what field you're in, you'll find that there are usually education divisions and journals within your field.  When you begin planning to attend a conference, take some time to look around at the other presentations to see if there are any educational topics that would be of interest to you.  These are great places to start making connections and begin to familiarize yourself with the new teaching ideas within your specialty.

You will find that there are conferences entirely dedicated to teaching as well.  As you gain teaching experience, you may even consider presenting a teaching talk. To give a teaching talk right here at Stanford, consider participating in Eat.Talk.Teach.Run!, a quarterly presentation of four flash talks from graduate students.
