About TEACH Events

Like the Teaching Commons as a whole, TEACH events are organized and facilitated by people across the university in many different roles. We are invested in fostering a strong culture of teaching and learning. TEACH stands for the core values we believe Stanford teaching can embody (Timely, Engaging, Accessible, Connected, Humane).

Who are TEACH events for?

For all Stanford instructors and those interested in teaching and learning, including faculty, staff, TAs, graduate students, and so on. TEACH events offer a place to refresh your ideas, problem-solve, and be inspired. All Stanford affiliates are welcome!

Do I have to come the whole time?

No. For the Symposium, we encourage participants to pick and choose the sessions that are most useful. For the conference, come for the whole event or whatever part of it works best for you. For course clinics, feel free to drop in any time to ask any questions and for general discussion.

Do TEACH events count towards the Postdoc Teaching Certificate?

Yes! TEACH events do count toward training hours for the Postdoc Teaching Certificate.
