Hennessy to speak on Technology in Teaching and Learning

We at Teaching Commons are looking forward eagerly to President John Hennessy's talk on April 30. He will discuss "Technology in Teaching and Learning" in his annual address to the Academic Council.

Teaching Commons and Stanford's Center for Teaching and Learning are now part of the new VPTL, that is, the Office of the Vice Provost for Teaching and Learning, and President Hennessy will be explaining what we do and where we're going as part of his talk.

The address will be followed by a a panel discussion with:

John Mitchell, Vice Provost for Teaching and Learning, Mary and Gordon Crary Family Professor of Computer Science

Candace Thille, Assistant Professor of Education and Senior Research Fellow for the Office of the Vice Provost for Teaching and  Learning

Amir Eshel, Edward Clark Crossett Professor of Humanistic Studies, Professor of German Studies and director of the Department of Comparative Literature

A reception will follow.
